Overlooking the ocean in idyllic Alys Beach, this new retreat was designed for a vibrant, outgoing widow as a glamorous, meaningful place for the women in her life to gather. Aptly named Villa Violetta in honor of the homeowner’s love of all shades of purple, the house is a study of Susan’s intentional, artful blend of saturated colors and grand scale with natural textures, organic forms and luxurious finishes.
